Bat Data Requests:
Northumberland Bat Group has an agreement with ERIC NE for the delivery of NBG data as part of the ERIC NE data request, or a NBG only data request. Just submit your request via ERIC’s online data request form.
Bat Data for NBG:
All bat records are welcome, every record helps inform us further about bats in the NBG area. For consultants, by submitting your records to NBG will satisfy the reporting requirements of your Natural England survey licence(s), because we share the records to ERIC (NE). If we could receive the information in a simple excel spreadsheet (Blank NBG records submission spreadsheet) that would be fantastic, but we are happy to receive records in any format that suits you.
Please remember to include the following key minimum information:
- Your name
- The bat species
- Where (The address – precise enough for us to be able to work out a grid reference if necessary)
- OS Grid reference if you have it (minimum 6 figure but as precise as you can make it. We can also work with other co-ordinates if your detector or software outputs something different)
- Date of the record
- How many bats (if known)
- Notes/comments (i.e. any other information you want to provide. As detailed or brief as you want!)
- What type of record is it (Roost, detector recording, downed bat, etc)
Please continue to send your bat records to records@northumberlandbats.org.uk
